North Yorkshire Moors Within 10 miles of Flamingoland you can find the spectacular scenery of the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors, now known as “Heartbeat Country” due to being used as the location for the filming of the television series.
This popular Yorkshire Television series originallt made famous by Nick Berry who played the role of P.C. Nick Rowan, is filmed on location in the village of Goathland which is now better known as Aidensfield.
The North Yorkshire Moors Railway steam engines are those used in the series. They operate on a regular service from Grosmont through Goathland all the way to Pickering.
